Even after so many years after Brad Pitt filed for divorce from Jennifer Aniston, the public’s interest in the split has only dwindled so little. During her taping for Bravo’s Inside the Actor’s Studio, Aniston talks a bit about the divorce and how making “The Breakup” helped her cope.
These 3-hour sit-downs usually tend to get very personal but, still, that Jennifer would talk about the divorce during her interview still managed to surprise.
She didn’t have a bad thing to say about it, though, limiting herself only to saying
that the breakup helped her a lot in making the hit romantic comedy “The Breakup.”
“It was just a beautiful story about a couple breaking up. And I was slightly familiar on the topic and the issue,” the actress said, laughing, as the video below will confirm.
“And I sort of honestly felt like, what a great way to sort of exorcise some of that. I enjoyed it. It really enjoyed it,” she stressed.
Doing a movie on such a delicate topic so quickly after her marriage came tumbling down was a risk that even producers were somewhat reluctant to take.
“You would think otherwise, because even the producers were like, ‘I don’t know if we should ask you to do this,’ but I was like, why not? Turn the page, let’s move on,” Aniston explains.
Speaking of moving on, Jennifer also recalled the good ol’ days when she was on the hit comedy series “Friends” and how emotional the entire cast was when they had to say goodbye after 10 amazing, very successful years.
“It’s one of the greatest jobs I ever had. It gave me everything. It gave me this ridiculously blessed life and career and taught me so much, and it’s the best time I ever had,” Jennifer said of her time on the show as the much beloved Rachel Green.
