Jennifer Aniston Goes Blonde for New Film

After an “absence” of a few months this summer, Jennifer Aniston is back to work again, shooting scenes for her latest film “Wanderlust” in NYC – and rocking a longer and definitely much lighter ‘do.

Fans (and not only) must be well aware that, if there’s anything Aniston gets more coverage for than her relationship with Brad Pitt and her incredible body, that’s her hair.

She’s the star who, back in the day when “Friends” was still running on TV (and not re-runs of it, as is the case today), sparked an entire trend, where women would go to the salon to ask to have “the Rachel” done, meaning, her character’s hairdo.

As such, it’s not really a wonder that, whenever she changes a small thing about her hair, it makes headlines – especially if the change is for the better, as is the case with the latest, softer color.

Aniston has always considered herself a “blonde” though she rarely had periods when was literally a one. Until now: for “Wanderlust,” the actress had dyed her hair a very soft shade of blonde with chocolate and honey highlights.

And it’s looking very good on her, too, voices in the blogosphere are saying. Because the color is more delicate, it also does wonders in terms of softening certain parts of her face that could be described as “strong,” like her nose, her jaw and her chin.

Of course, it must also be the contrast that contributes to this impression, since Aniston was pictured decked in leather from head to toe and, wearing a very strict-looking pair of glasses.

Wearing a leather mini skirt and leather jacket, Jen and co-star Paul Rudd shot a scene inside a real estate office, after which she changed into something more comfortable, ditching the skirt for a pair of jeans, says the Daily Mail.

“With her immaculately styled hair down around her shoulders and black-rimmed glasses on, the 41-year-old looked low-key yet chic as she filmed a scene with Paul Rudd,” the tab writes.

“Wanderlust” is billed as a comedy, and tells the story of a married couple in search of an alternative lifestyle. It doesn’t arrive in theaters in the US until October 2011, so keep an eye on this space for updates on it.
