If one is to believe reports online, Justin Theorux and Jennifer Aniston were supposed to tie the knot this summer but, insiders are now saying, they’ve postponed the big day while he’s focusing more on his “booming” career.

The Enquirer writes in its latest print issue (story via CB) that Jennifer was thrilled when he was cast in the pilot for HBO’s “The Leftovers” but her enthusiasm was soon curbed when he told her that he wanted to postpone the wedding because of it.

From that to thinking that he’s using her fame to boost his own career was but a step – and Jen took it in an instant, an insider who refuses to go on the record with a name says.

“Justin has always felt insecure about not being as successful or as rich as Jen… so he started gunning for high-profile acting projects. When he landed the HBO pilot, Justin told Jen that he thought it’d be best if they postposed their wedding for a while,” says the spy.

“He’s hoping the HBO show catapults him onto the A-list, and Jen is beginning to wonder if he’s getting cold feet,” the insider adds.

“She’s even accused Justin of piggybacking on her fame to boost his career. Justin is trying to soothe Jen’s insecurities, but what she wants more than anything is to become Mrs. Theroux as soon as possible,” the spy continues.

For the time being, Justin and Jennifer’s wedding plans are totally on hold, while he sees how certain projects, “The Leftovers” included, pan out.

Because she’s thinking the worst about his proposal, Justin is now trying hard to convince her that his feelings for her haven’t changed, the aforementioned publication notes.

They’re yet to set a new date, even a tentative one.
