Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux have been engaged for around 990 days: Life&Style mag did the math. It also claims that the wedding has been called off by Justin because he never really wanted to marry her.

The two have been spending a lot of time apart in recent months, and it eventually drove the final nail in the coffin of their relationship. There won’t be a wedding, at all.

Justin “pulled the plug on their wedding”

The mid-week previews for all the major glossies are out, with Life&Style magazine dedicating the cover of this week’s issue, together with a detailed account inside, to Jennifer Aniston and her allegedly troubled romance with actor / screenwriter Justin Theroux.

The two became friendly on the set of “Wanderlust,” and according to tabloid reports, embarked on a relationship even though he was with another woman at the time. In several interviews, Aniston insisted that they only started dating after he’d become a single man, for what it’s worth.

He proposed to her almost 3 years ago, and since then, the tabloids have been speculating about a possible wedding date, because they never made one public. In fact, they didn’t even hint at an estimated date, which was turned into even more fuel for the rumor mill.

Life&Style (quotes via Jezebel) claims to have it on good authority that a wedding won’t be taking place after all, because Justin never really planned on tying the knot. So he “dumped” her, in the sense that he called off all plans, presumably “just days before it was to go down.”

“Justin was on the phone with Jen when she brought up an issue with the wedding menu… She asked him if he thought they should have salmon or shellfish - and he replied, ‘I’m not ready’,” the report claims.

We’re taking it he wasn’t ready both for salmon / fish and the married life.

Jennifer Aniston, a tabloid fixture

Since her marriage to Brad Pitt ended and he started dating Angelina Jolie (they still deny Brad cheated on Jen, by the way), the former “Friends” star has become a tabloid fixture, landing more covers and selling more stories than any other celebrity.

If she’s not getting married, she’s breaking up with whatever man she happens to be dating, or she’s pregnant (sometimes, she might even get pregnant and be dumped), or there’s some Brangelina-related drama.

Aniston has often complained about this obsession of the tabloids with her, insisting she does nothing to encourage these stories and that she would rather she be left alone. Off the record, it is being said that her publicist is constantly feeding stories to more reputed outlets or leaking rumors to the glossies, just to drum up interest in her projects.

The reality is that, whether she likes it or not, Aniston has had a lot to win from her larger-than-life tabloid persona, driving interest in her movies and the products she endorses.
