Joan Collins verbally slaps Jennifer Aniston, she refuses to “engage with that nonsense”

In a recent interview, Joan Collins said Hollywood had but one beauty these days, and that’s Angelina Jolie because Jennifer Aniston was cute at best. Aniston refuses to respond to the provocation.

Speaking with the Daily Mail the other day, diva Joan Collins was asked to put in her 2 cents about Hollywood, beauty, and whether there were any stars able to match the beauties of the past.

According to her, only one could probably do that: Angelina Jolie. As for Jennifer Aniston, considered a stunner as well, Collins doesn’t really see things the same way as the rest of the world.

“I have to say, there aren’t that many good looking actresses around today. I mean, there’s Angelina Jolie and there’s... Angelina Jolie,” Collins said.

“Jennifer Aniston is cute, but I wouldn’t call her beautiful. She’s no Ava [Gardner] or Lana [Turner],” the former “Dynasty” star added.

E! Online contacted Aniston for comment on the diss and, to little surprise, she refused to respond, choosing instead to take the high road.

“What does Aniston herself have to say about the diss? Nothing,” Ted Casablanca of E!’s The Awful Truth says. Not that she doesn’t know about it, she just doesn’t want to comment on it.

“A rep for Ms. A. stated they were ‘aware’ of the verbal slap from Collins, but they felt there was ‘no need to engage with that nonsense’,” Casablanca further reports.

As he sees it, Aniston did the right thing not to engage in what could turn out to be a nasty feud which would stand to gain no one.

However, he also notes that another reason Aniston deserves praise for how she handled it is to be found in Collins’ gratuitous and unprovoked act of malice, which bespeaks jealousy.

“[It] can be explained pretty simply: jealous, jealous, jealous. Hey, Joan, take a note from your sis, Jackie, write this [stuff] out, don’t speak it. Otherwise, it makes you look cheap and even older than you already are,” Casablanca says.
