For most of us, the awkward phase comes in our teens, as our body changes along with our priorities in life but, for actress Jennifer Aniston, this weird phase in life seems to have come at a much later time.

In a recent interview with Parade Magazine, Jennifer, who will be turning 45 in February, admits that for her, the awkward phase began in her 30s. As it happens, that's also the part of her life during which she was married to Hollywood heartthrob Brad Pitt, something that might explain a few things.

“I'm a little bit of a late bloomer,” Aniston confides, “but it doesn't matter to me because it just gets better. They do say youth is wasted on the young, but I feel as youthful now – if not more – than I did when I was 25. I'm more in my body; I'm more in my mind. Life is full. Life is wonderful. We're very, very fortunate.”

What is weird about that statement is that, in her 30s, Aniston was at the height of her fame, was married to Brad Pitt, was starring in the very popular sitcom “Friends” and was the envy of many Hollywood actresses, let alone the hordes of adoring fans.

Now, she reveals that her 40s actually turned out better than her 30s, and she feels better than ever. Well, she certainly is keeping busy, having just hosted her annual, celebrity-packed Christmas tree-trimming party and also planning to start working on a sequel to the comedy “Horrible Bosses,” as well as wanting to direct her first full-feature film.

As far as her love life with fellow actor Justin Theroux goes, she admits that things couldn't be better: "I feel most beautiful when I'm just at home with Justin Theroux in the morning, or any time of day I'm with him." And then she concludes, “My life is so fantastic. I'm so happy.”
