That Jennifer Aniston leads a super healthy life must be no secret now to her fans. The former “Friends” star eats healthy foods, works out regularly, hydrates and makes sure she always gets her beauty sleep. But she did fall off the wagon once and ate a Big Mac.

Aniston is now the spokesperson for Aveeno and, speaking on the topic of beauty with The Cut, she revealed that she had a dreadful experience with junk food just recently when, fresh out of options for dinner, she and fiancé Justin Theroux headed over to a McDonald’s.

The result of that meal was nothing short of disastrous, she says.

“I’ll never forget when Justin and I were on a road trip and we were so hungry. The only thing around was McDonald’s. I think I ordered a Big Mac. Wow, my body did not react well to that! It was like putting gasoline in a purified system,” Aniston explains.

What she means by a “purified system” is that she normally eats only the finest and healthiest foods so, naturally, when she put junk food in her body, it did not react well.

“I am always trying to eat organic and natural foods, so that just made my stomach turn and made me feel terrible. And I think what you put in your body, as well as stress, is reflected in the quality of your skin,” she says.

“I can never stress enough to my friends that they must do as I do… hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! Drink lots of water, get enough sleep, exercise, and eat a clean healthy diet, whenever possible,” Aniston further says on the topic of a beautiful, youthful-looking skin.

In the same interview, Aniston explains how Aveeno is not a high-end and inaccessible brand for regular women, and how, in most cases, what matters is choosing the right product for your skin – which doesn’t necessarily mean it has to be the most expensive one.
