As many fans must know, Jennie Garth of the original “90210” fame is married to Peter Facinelli, who will be seen come November reprising his role as Dr. Carlisle Cullen in “The Twilight Saga: New Moon.” Given this, it is not hard to believe she may have some inside knowledge into what goes on the set when the cameras are not rolling, especially on whether Robert Pattinson is dating Kristen Stewart or not, which is precisely what an unnamed New York newspaper did, as Radar Online informs.

The other day, a quote from Garth came out in the media, in which she seemed to say, beyond any doubt, that, while she was not at liberty to disclose the identity of the woman who had all of Pattinson’s attention, she knew for a fact it was one of his co-stars. In the same quote, the actress also appeared to narrow down the possibilities to Kristen Stewart and Nikki Reed, mentioning that she could not say specifically who it was because she would break her promise to her husband, Peter Facinelli.

Radar managed to speak to Garth’s publicist and thus learned that the star was misquoted. “I know my client. She’s a veteran and she's an honest girl and too sweet to be misquoted like that.” Garth’s rep says for Radar. As per the same source, after the quote got out in the media, he tracked the reporter for the NY newspaper that ran it and asked for a transcript of the quote. When the reporter provided it, it became clear that the actress’ words had been taken out of context and changed a bit to make it look as if she was confirming the alleged relationship between the main “Twilight” stars Pattinson and Stewart.

“I can’t say [if it’s Kristen Stewart or Nikki Reed], because that would be breaking my promise to [husband Peter Facinelli], but he is dating one of them!” the first “quote” from Garth went. What the actress actually said was far from a confirmation of the relationship, other than of the fact that she knew how things stood between the three and nothing more. “I can’t say. That will be breaking my promise to my husband. But I do know.” Jennie Garth told the reporter.

As we also noted the other day, now that “New Moon” is nearing release and production on “Eclipse,” the third movie in the series, is underway, speculation on whether British actor Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are more than just good friends is not likely to stop.
