Jennie Garth has been working in the industry for almost 25 years and she’s known fame few TV or movie actresses can boast of. She’s probably accustomed to certain perks, which also include, it would seem, not having to wait outside a popular Hollywood club in the line with other “mortals,” to get in.

Just last night, the 42-year-old actress went out clubbing with friends and, even before they made it to the club – the Hollywood hotspot DBA – their night was ruined because they were turned away at the door. Jennie was photographed making her way back to the car, with tears streaming down her face, so you can imagine she was pretty upset about what had just happened.

TMZ has the photos. It also has a report that says Jennie complained of racism when being turned away at the door. She was accompanied by 2 female friends and 2 black males and she tried to make it look as if the bouncers would not let her in because of her male friends.

The photos of her in tears seemed to confirm that, indeed, something very serious happened, especially since Jennie is not exactly the kind of celebrity that you’d expect to see crying on the streets just because she was turned away from a club on her night out.

And yet, this is precisely what happened, DBA and a photographer on the scene say for the same media outlet. The actress wasn’t upset because someone had discriminated against her friends because they were black, she was crying because she was told that, if she wanted in, she’d have to wait in line. You know, like us regular folks do whenever we have to get in someplace and there’s a line at the door.

“DBA has a very strict door policy and Ms. Garth and her entire group of friends were asked to wait in line for entry along with everyone else. The group chose not to do so and left,” a spokesperson for the club says in a statement.

As for the on-the-scene paparazzo, he vouches that Jennie got into a verbal disagreement with the bouncers and even tried to pull the “I’m famous” card out of her pocket.

“Jennie skipped the line and walked up to the security team at the front door. He says they told her they had no power to make exceptions – everyone needed to stand in line. The photog says that's when Jennie dropped the card, saying, ‘I'm 40 years old, I have 3 kids, I've been in the business for years’,” the report notes.

With the security guy thoroughly unimpressed by her credentials, she started crying immediately and, after a few minutes, just walked away and probably called it a night.
