For almost two decades, Jennie Garth and Peter Facinelli were one of the most beautiful and, apparently, time enduring couples in showbiz. They were divorced this year, but Jennie says it’s still painful to see him moving on from the marriage.
Just recently, the “Twilight” star stepped out in public with his new girlfriend, and Garth is telling
People magazine that seeing him with another woman wasn’t as painless as she might have expected – or wished, for that matter.
“I think there will come a time when it won't sting so bad. But I'm not quite there yet,” she says.
On a less selfish note, though, the stunning actress says she’s happy if her ex husband, with whom she has children, is happy.
Jennie too is trying to pick up the pieces and move on:
she’s dating someone right now and, even though she won’t name any names, the mere confirmation that she’s seeing a guy means a lot for her fans.
“I'm dating one guy right now. One is enough, right?” she laughs.
While on the subject, the actress underlines that, right now, the focus is on making the transition as smooth as possible for the children.
“We are co-parenting and getting the hang of it. [For Christmas], we will celebrate really quietly at home this year and then travel to see a friend in Virginia. Then their dad is picking them up and taking them skiing, so they have a lot of exciting things going on,” Garth explains.
Though neither Jennie nor Peter addressed the exact reasons that led to the divorce, she did hint that it had something to do with his Hollywood career that was keeping him from home for long stretches. In time, the romance simply died out.
Even though she never said one bad thing about Peter, Jennie also
hinted that it was he who asked for the divorce, taking her almost completely by surprise.
