Younger sisters of the Kardashians are ready to get their start in the industry

In a recent interview, Kylie and Kendall Jenner, the youngest of the Jenner – Kardashian clan, shot down rumors that they were getting ready to start their own reality series. Instead, they’re going into fashion with their very own clothing line.

The teens are working on Kendall and Kylie for PacSun and, in an interview with The Huffington Post, admit they’re really psyched about the entire creative process.

They also admit to looking up to their sisters Kim, Khloe and Kourtney for what they did with the Kardashian Kollection, which has been a hit with fans, including anything from clothes to accessories and, as of late, makeup products.

“I think perfecting it was really fun, and designing it obviously. After everything was made, we had to fit them and pick patterns and colors and stuff,” Kendall says when asked which was the most fun part of the process of designing their own line.

“For me, it was seeing the clothing actually come off the paper and seeing it for the first time in real life,” Kylie chimes in.

The two say the Olsen twins, Miley Cyrus and Blake Lively are the fashion icons they most admire. Name-dropping the Olsens makes sense, since they managed to make a very successful transition from kid stars to respectable fashion designers.

At the end of the day, though, knowing a good business opportunity when they see one runs in their blood.

“We watched our sisters – and our brother with his sock line – through all of those processes so I think we were really inspired to do our own line. When the opportunity came to us with PacSun, we jumped on it,” Kylie says.

Their line was officially launched yesterday in New York, and will include items targeting only young girls with an acute interest in fashion.
