A new season of VH1’s reality show Couples Therapy premiered the other day and, if you caught the first episode, you probably know that former Teen Mom Farrah Abraham is also on it. However, she’s all alone and not accompanied by a boyfriend / partner, which pretty much goes against the name of the show.

The man who was supposed to show up with her is DJ Brian Dawe, but he’s come clean in a lengthy interview that his October romance with the reality star was fake from the very start, a set-up she arranged herself just so she could get on the show.

One of the people who found out about Dawe’s interview is Farrah’s former Teen Mom co-star Jenelle Evans, who isn’t letting this opportunity of throwing her under the bus go by.

“I'm not even going to watch #CouplesTherapy now that I found out Farrah staged it entirely once again. #TiskTisk #FakeRelationship,” she tweeted after the interview went viral, as cited by Us Magazine.

Evans’ obvious decision has already made many regular fans of Couples Therapy wonder whether the show was worth their time anymore, since it’s scripted and, in this particular case, absolutely made up.

This is what Dawe too said in the interview: he was OK with Farrah putting the rumor out there that they were dating and, initially, he was also OK with going on the show. However, when he decided against it and he let producers know that they weren’t really romantically involved, he was surprised when they pretty much threw money at him just to have him on board.

We all know that “reality” television isn’t “reality” but, still, to have producers go after someone whilst knowing he’s not the guy they want just because it would translate into big ratings seems a bit low, Dawe says.

“I realized that lying was wrong no matter what the circumstance were, and decided my morals and integrity were worth more than any amount of money,” he explains.

He also says that he isn’t coming clean with everything to harm Farrah but because he considers she’s been exploited long enough. We’ll see next week if his shocking claims have had any impact on the show, when the next episode airs.

Meanwhile, both Farrah and VH1 are refusing to comment on the allegations.
