As expected, Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean update has just arrived for US Cellular Galaxy S III. We reported a few days ago that Samsung and US Cellular plan to offer the upgrade starting December 21.

The carrier has just updated its software upgrade page to reflect the changes, check it out here. Keep in mind that the new Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean firmware can be downloaded and installed OTA (over the air), as well as via Samsung Kies desktop software.

In order to use the OTA method users will only need to head to Settings / About device / Software update, select OK and follow the on-screen prompts.

The Jelly Bean update bring lots of new features and improvements, including Google Now. There's also a new refreshed Camera application that allows users to swipe on the viewfinder to go directly to the Gallery.
