The update is available for download OTA (over the air)

HTC UK has just announced that the long-awaited Android 4.1 Jelly Bean upgrade for the One X is now available for download for O2 customers.

Although O2 UK claims the update was officially released on December 27, few HTC One X owners received it. In fact, there have been no reports of anyone receiving it yet.

However, given the fact that Jelly Bean is deployed by HTC, O2 UK should not be blamed for the issue especially that they have been informed by the Taiwanese handset maker that the update is live.

We’re expecting more reports from HTC One X owners who received Jelly Bean on their devices, but HTC UK has clearly confirmed on its Twitter account that the update is now available for download:

“O2 customers are able to download the Jelly Bean update on their HTC One X. You can do this in Settings>About>Software Updates>Check Now.”
