Today, Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation officially announced the upcoming availability of the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean software upgrade for its HTC One X and One S devices.

The company said that both handsets are set to taste the new platform release before the end of the month, but did not offer a specific release date for it.

“The Android Jelly Bean with HTC Sense 4+ update is scheduled to begin rolling out for the HTC One S and HTC One X from October,” the company announced.

As usual, we can expect for the international flavors of these phones to receive the update first, followed by regional versions and carrier-branded models.

One X and One S handsets in the United States won’t be included in the first batch of updates, that’s for sure.
