The update is pushed OTA (over the air), in stages

Motorola pushed the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update to RAZR devices a long time ago, but some customers have been left out until recently.

Canadian carrier Fido seems to be one of the last to offer Motorola RAZR owners the possibility to upgrade their smartphones to Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean.

There’s no telling whose fault it is that Fido Motorola RAZR users didn’t get the promised Jelly Bean update, but now that it’s live, everything should be forgiven.

According to MobileSyrup, the update is pushed OTA (over the air) in waves, so not all Motorola RAZR owners might get it at the same time.

Those who have yet to be notified on the update can manually search for it by going to Settings / About phone / System software updates / Check now. Keep in mind that this is a 250MB download, so we recommend updating via Wi-Fi network.
