We reported about a week ago that Motorola confirmed that the DROID Bionic would receive the long-awaited Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update sometime in Q2 2013.

Today, the folks at Phandroid report that members of Motorola Feedback Network have started to receive invitations to what appears to be DROID Bionic’s Jelly Bean soak test.

Although tests have yet to commence, DROID Bionic owners should expect the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update to arrive by the end of the month, if nothing goes wrong and the soak test completes successfully.

According to BriefMobile, it shouldn’t take more than 2-3 days until soak testers receive the update on their devices and another 2-3 days for the feedback.

After that, Motorola should immediately release the Jelly Bean upgrade to the general public. But these are only speculations, so stay tuned for official word on the availability of the update.
