The update weighs in at 338MB for Ice Cream Sandwich devices

Last week, Motorola officially announced a soak test for the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system for its DROID RAZR and DROID RAZR MAXX handsets, and is currently pushing the update to all owners of these smartphones out there, it seems.

Apparently, users who weren’t part of the beta testing program have already started to receive the new software version on their devices, which should be a clear indicator that the general deployment has started.

As Droid-life notes in a recent article, users should head to Settings > About phone > System updates to see whether the update was made available for their devices as well.

The update will arrive on handsets as a 338MB file, and should reach all handsets currently running under Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich. Specific info on what was included in this update can be found in this post.
