South Korean mobile phone maker LG Electronics is currently working on the development of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean for Optimus LTE II, true to its promise to release it to users before the end of this month.

No specific info on when the roll-out should start has emerged so far, but the owners of South Korean flavors of the device can already get a taste of the platform release, it seems.

According to Blog Of Mobile, the OS update has leaked for the LG-F160K for Korea Telecom and LG-F160S for SK Telecom iterations of Optimus LTE II, with build number JZ054K next to it, which suggests that this might actually be Android 4.1.2 for the device.

LG appears to have skipped some steps in the development of the update, most probably in an attempt to get as close to Android 4.2 as possible, which has already been loaded on its Nexus 4 smartphone.
