Owners of the HTC One X smartphone on the network of Australian wireless carrier Vodafone might soon get a taste of the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS flavor, the operator has announced.

According to the company, HTC is currently preparing to send the update to Vodafone for testing purposes, which suggests that users might start seeing it soon, should all things work properly from the beginning.

HTC One X users are not the only ones set to receive the update in the not too distant future, as Jelly Bean is also being prepared for the Galaxy S III units on Vodafone’s network.

The wireless carrier is currently testing the update to see whether it is fully compatible with its services, and should start its deployment sooner rather than later.

However, no specific info on the release date has been provided as of now, so stay tuned.
