Samsung has left the Galaxy Tab 2 running the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system ever since it released it all those months ago.

Now, the official Samsung Jelly Bean release is said to be complete and ready to be installed.

Recently, Samsung released Android 4.1.2 for the Galaxy Note 10.1, so it was just a matter of time before the Tab got it.

The performance of the tablet should be noticeably better after the installation of the package.

Likewise, there should be access to the Premium Suite, which enables better multitasking capabilities, even side-by-side operation.

To initiate the update, Galaxy Tab 2 owners need to access the “Settings” menu and click on “Accounts.” If the software is available, it will show up on the right.
