Like so many other IT players, Enermax deals in various sorts of electronics and hardware components, so it is no mystery that drive enclosure series are amongst its selling products, like the one that just got updated.

Enermax is a company widely known for its many coolers, power supplies, computer cases and various other, less widely used things.

For instance, among its more recent showings are the T.B. Silence fans, the SpineRex case and MaxRevo power supplies, to name a few.

One of the so-called less widely used things mentioned above are drive enclosures, auxiliary devices for regular HDDs or SSDs that one can or will no longer use as part of their PC configuration PC.

Whether for the sake of easier transfer of large data capacities or because of being outdated, some drives sometimes end up gathering dust on a shelf.

Enermax's Jazzmate drive enclosure series is made up of those cases that act as a bridge between the SATA interface and universal serial bus.

It was first launched in November, 2010, when it only had members capable of dealing with HDD, SSD and HHD (hybrid hard drive) units.

More specifically, any device placed on the inside will be able to communicate with the host PC via the USB 2.0 interface.

That said, while the line has been around for a while, it now received a couple of new additions featuring a form factor compatible with 3.5-inch units.

With a double-sided steel mesh, they do not use any screws and measure 200 (D) x 123 (W) x 38 (H) mm.

Finally, they are painted black and, thanks to the bundled acrylic stand, can either sit on any desk or stand upright. The USB 2.0-equipped model has a price of 24.90 Euro, whereas the more expensive one (29.90 Euro) has eSATA as well.
