Jay-Z and Beyoncé Might Get Married Today

Last weekend, the big "wedding story" doing the rounds on the Internet was the alleged marriage of tabloid sweethearts Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. Almost a week later, another rumored wedding is taking the media by storm; this time, everybody admits it's only a rumor. However, let's not forget that hip-hop power couple Beyoncé and Jay-Z have already obtained a marriage license two days ago, which makes the prospect of the event much more plausible at the present moment. The Internet is rife with speculation, and several bloggers claim to be in possession of confidential information which seems to point out that Beyoncé and her long-term boyfriend/fiancée Jay-Z are planning to get married today.

Here's the scoop: Jay-Z has already announced that a big celebration would take place at his house today, a party which could either be a wedding reception or simply a huge bash of his recent lucrative $150 million deal with Live Nation. "Jay has invited some close friends, including Diddy, to his apartment in New York. He hasn't said if it's for his wedding," a source stated to the NY Daily news. Close family sources have reportedly denied knowing anything about a possible marriage, and pointed out that rumors concerning the couple's marriage date back to almost two years ago. However, there are things which seem to point out that April 4th will indeed be a special day for the couple.

First of all, a horde of celebrity friends of the well-known couple have been spotted in the city: Kanye West, Pharrell Williams and Jermaine Dupri, for instance, were seen together in SoHo two evenings ago. Also, Beyoncé's former Destiny's Child band mates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams have posted a YouTube video addressed to their fans and refused to disclose their location, which has caused many people to assume that they are in New York for the rumored wedding. And lastly, Beyoncé's dad, Mathew Knowles, reportedly contacted at least one celebrity magazine at the beginning of the week with an offer on his daughter's wedding pictures. "Mathew first started talking about wedding photos on Monday. He said, 'How much are you offering?' There has been a back-and-forth since then, but he has not revealed the date.
