George Zimmerman, the community guard who shot and killed 17-year-old Trayvon Martin in 2012, was acquitted of murder earlier this month. The other night in New York, Jay Z dedicated a song to Martin.

The rapper and Justin Timberlake are now on their Legends of the Summer joint tour, and they opted to wrap up the NYC gig with a tribute to the late Martin.

Above is a video of their rendition of “Forever Young.”

“Everybody put a cell phone and light it up... let's light the sky for Trayvon Martin tonight in here,” Jay told the fans gathered at the Yankee Stadium.

The response was immediate: they did as asked and sang along with Justin on the chorus.

One week ago, Beyonce also dedicated a song to Martin in one of her shows.
