Jay Z Isn't Retired After All!

Rapper and Def Jam president held a 10th anniversary of his debut album 'Reasonable Doubt' at the New York's city Music Hall and showed fans (and critics) that he still has it big time.

Jay Z opened his performance by driving a decade old Lexus on the stage and, all dressed up in a white suit and a black scarf, played all the tracks from his first material and many more. The hip hop artist chose 'Reasonable Doubt' (which was not among his best sold albums) to prove that, despite his early retirement from the music stage, he continues to be a respectable rapper who, most of all, hasn't for a second forgotten where he came from.

The show was extraordinary, combining the glamour and style that is typical for the artist/producer with hard core, right from the streets' hip hop. It also featured girlfriend Beyonce, who took the place of Mary J. Blige on the track 'Can't Knock the Hustle' and late Notorious BIG on the many screens surrounding the stage.

Fans that crowded the Hall just couldn't get enough! And there is more in store for them, although not for those in the US. Friday, during rehearsals for the concert, Jay Z announced that he is to begin touring again this autumn in places like Sydney, Beirut, Dubai and Johannesburg, where the rapper has never held a show before and fans didn't get to see him perform live.

Jay Z told MTV that he is thinking of cutting his retirement period short, after many demands from the fans, and even of releasing a new album. But that doesn't mean, the artist added, that he will take less seriously his job at Def Jam records or his projects as a producer.
