Jay-Z has teamed up with Samsung to promote his upcoming album, “Magna Carta Holy Grail,” through a series of short films taking fans behind the scenes in the life (and workplace) of one of the most popular and influential artists of the moment.

Included in this blog post are just two of the most recent videos of the kind.

However, it’s the one embedded above that’s getting the most attention, because the usually media-shy rapper / music mogul is opening up about his daughter with wife Beyonce, Blue Ivy.

“My pop left when I was young, so he didn't teach me to be a man, nor how to raise a child or how to treat a woman,” Jay tells Rick Rubin, who is lounging on a couch in the recording studio.

“Of course my karma, the two things I need, I don't have. And I have a daughter. It's the paranoia of not being a great dad,” the rapper continues, getting all choked up.

The second video shows Jay and his collaborators (Pharrell, Timbaland) talking about the album.

Enjoy!
