14 DAY TRIAL // A few days ago, it was reported that Gwyneth Paltrow, being the good girlfriend that she is, took Beyonce for a few days’ stay at an exclusive resort in order to help her “get her energy back” before she kicks off the On the Run Tour with husband Jay Z.
The stay was also meant to help Beyonce deal with the supposed marital drama she’s going through, which seems to have started when her sister Solange put a vicious beatdown on Jay Z in an elevator, in front of Beyonce, as they were leaving a MET Gala 2014 afterparty.
Rumors of infidelity had emerged online before, but they literally took over once footage from a surveillance camera in that elevator leaked online. Designer Rachel Roy’s name came up most often in all conversations on what might have prompted the fight: because she was identified as the mistress Solange found out about and confronted Jay Z about in the elevator.
So Gwyneth set out to help her friend Beyonce to get through this difficult moment and see if there was any saving her marriage. OK! Magazine claims she might have done a bit more than just take the bootylicious singer on a retreat for yoga and meditation classes, and juice cleanses: she also convinced her to get herself and Jay to couples therapy.
“Supercouple Jay Z, 44, and Beyonce 32, just can’t put Solange’s elevator fight behind them, and – on the advice of pal Gwyneth Paltrow – they’ve turned to three-times-a-week counseling to rescue their marriage,” the report says.
Apparently, Jay owned up to his transgressions with Roy and promised he would never again do that to his loving wife, and they’re now working to get the marriage back on track.
“In front of Bey, he called rumored mistress Rachel Roy to end their relationship. No more cozy dinners, no more late-night phone calls. He’s even deleted her number from his phone,” an insider says for the same publication.
Depending on who you believe, Jay Z and Beyonce are also either pregnant again or about to file the divorce papers, or he’s still cheating on her like before, as if the whole Solange incident never happened.
Just yesterday, one rumor based on a blind item claimed that he’d been keeping R&B singer Mya as a lover for years and that he was actually her sole financial provider, paying for everything from her house to her clothes and the food on her table.
