Just the other day, various reports from major (and reliable) media outlets were saying that Jimmy Fallon will most likely be replacing Jay Leno on The Tonight Show by fall 2014 at the latest, and that the show would move to New York.

If anything, Leno is amused by all these rumors and, to a certain extent, pretty giddy about the media coverage he’s getting, as he says in one of his most recent opening monologs.

Check it out in full in the video below.

“Are you all excited about March Madness?” he asks.

“Are you all into March Madness? People are talking about who's in, who's out, who's gonna be eliminated. And that's just here at NBC. I've never been in the paper this much. It's fantastic,” Leno laughs.

In recent weeks, Leno has been addressing some of the rumors about his next career move on the show, as fans must know.

A few night ago, for instance, he likened NBC executives to “snakes,” which reportedly sent them all into a major hissy fit.
