14 DAY TRIAL // Reality star Kristin Cavallari isn’t going to get her dream wedding – at least not now. Smack in the middle for preparations for a spring ceremony, fiancé Jay Cutler broke off the engagement and “dumped” her, it has emerged.
Only days after tweeting a heartfelt thank-you to friends who threw her an engagement party, Kristen is forced to start telling the same friends why there won’t be a wedding anymore, People magazine reports.
Admittedly Cutler dumped her and the romance is officially off. Even more, the reality star has already been photographed sans her diamond sparkler, which is whatever confirmation was still needed that the wedding won’t take place anymore.
“She got dumped. She’s absolutely devastated. She can’t believe this is happening,” a source close to Cavallari says for the celebrity magazine.
Clearly, the breakup blindsided her completely. She was making wedding plans when Cutler broke the news to her about his decision.
“She was planning her dream wedding, the date was set, the location – everything was set. She’s in shock that the dream wedding she was planning is going to end this way,” the insider explains.
“The couple had completed their wedding registry, and Cavallari was determined to be in great shape for the wedding. Saturday night Cavallari hit The Beverly, an L.A. lounge, and was spotted without her engagement ring,” People writes.
While a rep for Kristin was not immediately available for comment on the breakup, other sources are saying for the same publication that the relationship ended because Cutler was too “controlling.”
He would constantly call her whenever she was out with friends, asking her where she was and who she was with. It got so worse in recent months that she could hardly stand it anymore, insiders claim.
“He made her choose between him and being friends with a lot of her girlfriends. I’m not surprised it didn’t last,” one such spy dishes.
