14 DAY TRIAL // Jawbone may not be the sort of company one would expect to market fitness bands like the Amiigo Wrist Bracelet, but then one would have to wonder how such a gadget was different from other smartphone accessories like the Jambox Speakers.
Jawbone does, indeed, have a fitness band up for sale, called Up and equipped with everything needed to track sleep and exercise.
The main problem with it was that it only worked with Apple's iOS, meaning it was restricted to iPhones and iPads, on which the accompanying app could run.
Now, however, Jawbone has upgraded the Up band, according to The Verge. It will function just fine with Android gadgets, with the app being available for download from Google Play store.
Sales should start in Europe soon, with Asia and Australia, plus the Middle East, scheduled for April.
