The 33-year-old British actor will star as a dying hit man in 'Crank,' a new film from Lions Gate and Lakeshore Entertainment.

Jason Statham, who is currently filming for "Dungeon Siege", is ready to work on the new movie, which is set to begin principal photography in Los Angeles next month, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Statham will play a hit man who goes on a rampage after being poisoned and must seek vengeance while trying to save himself and his girlfriend.

The screenplay was written by Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor who will also direct the movie.
