Jason Rohrer, an independent video game developer, is the winner of the final installment of the Game Design Challenge Championship that’s hosted by the Game Developers Conference, with a title called A Game For Someone.

The theme of the competition was Humanity’s Last Game and Rohrer has managed to create a more interesting experience than Richard Lemarchand, Erin Robinson, Harvey Smith, Will Wright and Steve Meretzky, according to Gamasutra.

Rohrer’s game is called A Game for Someone, a board game that was put into a titanium tube and then buried somewhere in the Nevada desert.

Every person at the Game Developers Conference was given a unique piece of paper with 900 GPS locations that could mark the titanium tube.

The developer would like to see the mystery locations remain unknown, with the game literally being the last one that humanity might play.
