Despite earlier reports saying that Jason Momoa, best known to fans as Khal Drogo in HBO’s “Game of Thrones,” had already agreed to star in Zack Snyder’s “Man of Steel” sequel, “Batman vs. Superman,” Jason himself is here to set the record straight.

MTV caught up with the actor at the Sundance Film Festival, where he promoted a new film and, of course, could not pass on the chance of grilling him about the much hyped superhero flick.

If you were rooting to see Momoa in the film, even if for a small cameo as Aquaman, I have bad news: he’s not doing it. Which, of course, isn’t to say he doesn’t wish he would.

“I get it all the time. It’s just a rumor. I swear,” the handsome actor told Josh Horowitz.

“Man to man. You can punch me in the face [if I'm lying]. You’re allowed to punch me in the face. No, it’s a flattering rumor,” he explained.

You can see the video of their exchange below.

So, while we won’t be seeing Momoa in “Batman vs. Superman,” the film still includes a pretty impressive cast, with Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman. It will be out in May 2016.
