14 DAY TRIAL // Actor turned musician turned self-styled fashionista Jared Leto is getting a lot of people talking again after tweeting a photo of himself shirtless, wearing a skirt and flexing his ripped muscles.
Leto has never been known for the muscular type but all that is bound to change. Granted, he’s still slender as usual, but, this time, he’s also rocking flat-board abs and very nice pecs.
The actor is also wearing a skirt in the photo, which seems to be the excuse he found to show off his new and improved physique, as the pic is tagged “Real Men Wear Skirts.”
To paraphrase what most celebrity bloggers are saying right now, “yes, they do, Jared, they do.”
As fans must know, the actor, known for the countless varied parts he’s played (“Fight Club,” “Requiem for a Dream”) once gained over 60 pounds for a role, which was also the first time he was not slender.
In 2007, Leto started to gain weight to play John Lennon’s killer, David Chapman, in “Chapter 27,” also starring Lindsay Lohan.
His weight ballooned so much Leto was barely recognizable in the film. When he started to shed the pounds again after filming was over, the star spoke about certain health complications.
Back to Leto’s Twitter pic, if he’s using it to show off his newly-bulked up muscles, he’s not the only one to be doing so, since it would seem this is quite a trend these days.
Just recently, Aaron Carter, brother of Nick Carter of the Backstreet Boys and a pop star on his own once, also tweeted a photo of himself flexing his muscles.
In his case, though, it would seem the physical transformation goes hand in hand with the preparation for the launch of a new music album, as we also informed you at the time.
“I’ve been at Johnny Wright’s compound working on my mind, music, and body for a new album release!” Aaron wrote. “In the process of developing a new style of dance. This will be unforgettable,” he added.
Then, later one, he tweeted, “ahhhh yawn.... here i go again!!!! 1000 pull ups today 7 mile run the 1000 sit ups, i can’t stop myself.”
No word yet on how Jared Leto got this ripped.
