The PlayStation Vita handheld from Sony is maintaining its new sales level on the Japanese market, with 63,581 units moved to gamers for the week that ended on March 10, a small increase over the figures it had published during the previous week.

The big increase in sales is linked to the Vita price cut that Sony introduced, which might soon also be offered on Western markets.

The 3DS continues to perform well, while the sale levels of the PlayStation 3 home console are dipping as the launch date for the PS4 draws ever closer, according to Gematsu.

The Nintendo Wii U is once again under the 10,000 units sold mark.

Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F is the best sold video game, which managed to move 110,229 copies to gamers during its debut week, while second place was captured by Soul Sacrifice, which also sold a little over 92,000 units.

The last position on the podium belongs to Uta no Prince-sama All Star.
