With most hardware sales flat the PlayStation Portable handheld from Sony managed to keep its top position in the individual model sales chart on the Japanese market, despite the fact that it lost more than 4,000 units in terms of sales.

The Sony made device managed to sell 30,761 devices in one week, down from 34,839, to keep its top position with the PlayStation 3 making it another one two for Sony as it's home console also saw a drop in sales from 22,227 to 19,907.

Third place in the hardware chart went to the Nintendo made DSi LL, the version of its handheld that has a bigger screen and two cameras, with sales going up to 19,076 from 18,929 units during the previous week.

The DSi is also selling well, reaching 16,345 models sold while the Wii sits at number four with sales of 15,031.

Down the line the DS Lite from Nintendo managed to sell better than the Xbox 360 from Microsoft, the PlayStation 2 and the PSP Go.

One Piece: Gigant Battle from Namco Bandai for the Nintendo DS was the best selling video game of the week, with 131,854 copies moved to gamers in its first week on sale.

The new title is probably the reason for the increase in sales of the Nintendo DS family of handhelds.

Second spot when to Monster Hunter Diary: Pokapoka Ailu Village from Capcom for the PSP, which managed to sell 55,569 units.

Wii Party also dropped down one place to reach third while Ace Combat X2: Joint Assault, from Namco Bandai for the PSP, is at number four with sales of 12,667.

Fifth position is occupied by Metroid: Other M, from Nintendo and for the Wii platform, with just 11,239 copies sold in seven days.

The last five places in the top ten go to: Super Mario Galaxy 2, Art Academy, Vitamin X: Evolution Plus, Inazuma Eleven 3: World Challenge and Sengoku Efuda Yuugi: Hototogisu Tairan.
