On the Japanese video game market, the hardware weekly chart is still dominated by the 3DS, which has managed to sell 26,575 units, which represents a big decline when compared to the 36,270 devices that were delivered to players during the previous tracked period.

The PlayStation Vita from Sony is in second place, according to Media Create data quoted by NeoGAF, and has managed to increase its own numbers from 12,643 to 14,735.

The Wii U has also posted a small decline, going to 12,249 from 13,766, but it is still performing better than the PlayStation 4, which has once more dropped sales in order to reach 8,395 for the week and the older PS3.

The Xbox One will be launched in Japan at some point in September.

Mario Kart 8 from Nintendo for the Wii U is the best-selling title of the week, with 42,261 copies delivered to fans during its second week on sale.
