The two products boosted each other's sales performance

The Nintendo 3DS handheld is once more the top selling game device on the Japanese market, with its overall number boosted by the launch of Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D, which managed to take the video game number one.

The 3DS moved 47,135 devices in one week for the period ending on June 16, followed by the PlayStation 3, which is essentially stable, and the PlayStation Vita, which is steadily gaining sales.

Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D has managed to generate sales of 104,569 copies during its first week on sale, followed by Friend Collection: New Life, another 3DS title, according to Media Create data from NeoGAF.

The last position on the podium is occupied by Chousoku Henkei Gyrozetter: Albatross no Tsubasa.

The rest of the top includes: Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Resident Evil: Revelations, Shin Megami Tensei IV, Terraria, Kamen Rider: Battride War, and Dragon Ball Heroes: Ultimate Mission.
