The Nintendo-made 3DS handheld is the bestselling console on the Japanese market, with 108,373 devices moved to players during the week that ended on December 2, a solid increase over the numbers it posted the previous week.

The Wii U home console has also seen a good increase in its own figures and has sold 28,518 devices, almost 33 percent more than before, according to numbers quoted by NeoGAF.

The PlayStation Vita is in third place and in decline, while the PlayStation 3 sees a small increase in its own sales.

Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai 2 is the best-selling game of the period with 88,708 copies sold.

The rest of the top ten is made up of: Pokemon X / Y, Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, Super Mario 3D World, Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, World Soccer Winning Eleven 2014, One Piece: Unlimited World Red, Super Robot Wars OG: Infinite Battle and Monster Hunter 4.
