35-year-old January Jones, known for her role as Betty, Don Draper’s wife on Mad Men, is complaining about severe hair loss.

Jones has undergone several changes in hair color throughout the years, including sporting icy blonde locks at the Screen Actors Guild Awards. One of the most recent extreme colors she used was bubblegum pink in her highlights, according to interviews from March 2012.

“I’ve been blonde, red with extensions for this film, then blonde, then black, and now blonde again,” she says.

She blames her problems on the repeated bleaching and dyeing, which have damaged her hair.

“I have been every color and now my hair is falling out in clumps,” the actress tells Grazia Daily.

She jokes about going to extremes in case she doesn't find a solution to the hair loss issue. If it becomes more serious, she claims she will take it all off and replace it with a wig.

“I’m going to have to shave it off and wear a wig,” she describes.

She tells reporters that her fans and even her family have come to think of her as a blonde.

“I like it all colors, it makes you feel different according to what color it is, but I prefer to be blonde. My son recognizes me in photos when I am blonde, he says mama,” she explains.

Comparing the different colors she wore in her locks over the years, she remembers that being a brunette least helped her career and social life.

“I didn’t get treated differently when I was red-headed, but when I went dark for a few months, I was suddenly invisible. Not just as a celebrity, but to my friends and family. I was like, 'Come on you guys, it’s me!'” Jones comments.
