During a recent interview, that took place a few hours before Janet Jackson launched her heavily mediated '20 Y.O' album, the diva said that she hasn't spoken to her 'friend' Justin Timberlake since the infamous 'wardrobe malfunction'.
The singer told the interviewer that what happened that year at the Super Bowl, leading to the highest fine ($550,000) ever paid in the history of television, was indeed an accident and such an unpleasant surprise coming from Justin that she would have never imagined it would take place.
'We haven't spoken but I consider him a friend, and I'm very loyal, and friendship is very important to me. He has reached out to speak to me. Like I said, friendship is very important to me - and certain things you just don't do to friends. In my own time, I'll give him a call', the diva explained, adding that this will be the last time that she ever discusses the nipple incident in front of a camera.
But sources close to Justin Timberlake told the press that the two are considering a reunion as an 'ultimate publicity stunt'. The source could not give the exact details of such a pairing, but revealed that they will appear together, quote, 'in some sort of big, live show like the Grammys or the Oscars'.
The reason for it seems pretty obvious to the friend in question: 'A reunion will help re-boost the sales of their albums'. Justin is currently promoting his 'FutureSex/LoveSounds' material, while Janet has just launched the album that is meant to be a milestone in her musical career, '20 Y.O'.
