Janet Jackson shows off her body by Nutrisystem: she's now slimmer and healthier

Janet Jackson is the official spokesperson for Nutrisystem and, as such, she's already lost a lot of weight on the program. Just don't ask her how much, because she has no idea: Janet doesn't weigh herself.

Now slimmer and healthier than ever, the singer says she's never felt this good about herself. Fans must know that she's been struggling with her weight her entire life, always turning to comfort eating in times of trouble.

Today, Janet looks and feels good. She credits Nutrisystem with the vast improvement in her life, swearing that it's a healthy and not necessarily a weight loss-related choice.

It's also about the attitude, though. Janet believes weighing yourself can lead to negative emotions, so she just skips that part altogether.

“I don't know how much weight I've lost, only because I stay away from the scale. I don't think [stepping on the scale] is healthy,” the star says in a new interview with People magazine.

“You're setting yourself up to fail and women's bodies fluctuate every month – certain times of the month in particular – we bloat a great deal,” she adds.

With Nutrisystem, you don't need a scale to tell you that you've lost weight. Neither do you have to deprive yourself of essential nutrients, risking your health to shed a few pounds.

“It works, point blank. You don't have to starve yourself getting there,” Janet insists.

Even though Nutrisystem is a program that caters food for you, this doesn't mean you have to stop enjoying life, or forget about your favorite treats.

Janet, for instance, loves caramel apples and she lists them as her “cheat food” because Nutrisystem doesn't have them.

As for enjoying a regular meal, she doesn't rule that out either.

“I go out to dinner with friends [too], but then I just get back on it. It's about maintenance. And if I'm getting ready for something like a tour, I work out six days a week. I like to switch it up. I may go for a run or bike,” the star explains.
