After two failed marriages, singer and actress Janet Jackson is getting ready for a third trip down the aisle. Her boyfriend of 3 years, billionaire Wissam Al Mana proposed to her earlier this year, recent reports indicate.

Official confirmation of the engagement is still pending, but Us Weekly claims to have it from very reliable sources that the two are now in the midst of wedding preparations, News.com reports.

Admittedly, the only reason why confirmation can’t be found on Janet’s finger is because she’s not wearing the ring for fear she might lose it.

“[Wissam] gave [Janet] a huge, expensive ring. She’s afraid it will get lost, so she keeps it locked up!,” an insider dishes for the publication.

Wissam got down on one knee sometime earlier this year, and they are now thinking of a spring wedding in Qatar for which “no expense will be spared.”

“He is flying in all of Janet's friends and family on private jets. He wants to get a top chef to create a custom menu,” the same unnamed but reportedly reliable spy says.

As noted above, if true, this will be Janet’s third marriage.

Her 1984 marriage to James DeBarge was annulled after one year because it was believed it would be damaging to her image.

In 1991, she tied the knot with Rene Elizondo Jr., whom she divorced in 2000. When she started dating Wissam in 2009, Janet had recently broken up with her longtime beau, music producer Jermaine Dupri.

Janet is notoriously shy when it comes to her private life, always going the extra mile to make sure no details leak to the press.

In other words, if she’s really engaged and planning a spring wedding, chances are fans will only find out for certain the very moment she decides to go public with the information. Until then, all of the above is just speculation.
