Janet Jackson has been absent from the public eye and the music industry for years, but this will change in 2015, with the release of a brand new album. Even better, this year, she will also be going on tour to promote it, as she announced some hours ago in a video posted to Vimeo.

You can see it below: it’s short and it doesn’t show Janet at all, and it doesn’t even offer too many details, but it should be enough to keep fans going for a while because it confirms that she’ll be putting out new material soon.

“I promised you’d hear it from my lips and now you will,” she says. “This year, new music, new world tour, a new movement. I’ve been listening. Let’s keep the conversation going.”

That last part is a reference to a trending hashtag on social media #ConversationInACafe that hinted that one such announcement would be coming soon. A post on her official website even acknowledged all the reports but stopped short of confirming or denying them.

Janet’s last album was “Discipline,” which came out in 2008. Since then, but particularly this year, fans have been wondering when she might be putting out new material. Last month, a fake “missing” ad popped up on social media and went viral, even prompting a reply from camp Jackson. They found it amusing too, but they didn’t respond to the fan who made it.

You can see that one too right under the text.
