The video for the second single released from the '20 Y.O' album has just premiered on BET and, from the very beginning, we can say that the old Janet is back. Maybe because her 'Call on Me' (featuring Nelly) got such mixed reviews (mostly bad), the singer decided to go back to where she started.

And, consequently, 'So Excited' comes off as an older and more experienced version of 'All Nite (Don't Stop)', with a little more edge and sexiness to it. Unfortunately, Janet couldn't abstain herself from flashing her abs for a couple of seconds, but it's only for a short while and it doesn't get as close as to ruin the entire video for us. With all due respect, she should try to stop doing that, 'cause it brings nothing sexy or hot to the way she looks.

Returning to the video, while many say that neither it nor the song that accompanies it are any good, it can be said to be the first indication that Miss Jackson is making that long expected comeback. The dance routines are good (as is always the case with her), the beat is amazing and Janet's rash and whispered voice makes one think about the sounds she makes when in the bedroom (and, in fact, that's the main idea behind the clip).

Jermaine Dupri also appears in 'So Excited', although many can see that the shoot was directed in such a way so that nobody could say later that she is using her relationship to boost her music career. And that bite at the end, where she is eating strawberries... my, my, my, what more can one say?
