Not even two decades of marital bliss can offer a guarantee that it won’t end in divorce, as Jane Seymour and husband James Keach have learned just recently. The two announced their decision to get a divorce this spring, with the former Bond actress filing the necessary paperwork the other day.

TMZ has confirmation that Seymour filed the divorce papers, citing the usual “irreconcilable differences” for the cause of the demise of the marriage.

She and James have been married for 20 years and have two children together, two 17-year-old twin boys. When they told the media that they had decided to go their separate ways, they stressed the boys would remain their number 1 priority.

“Seymour filed the docs late last week in LA County Superior Court citing irreconcilable differences. In the papers, Jane requests joint legal and physical custody. The former Bond girl is not requesting spousal support,” TMZ says.

“The couple announced in April that they were splitting up, and negotiating terms of a divorce but the docs make the split official,” adds the same media outlet.

While both Jane and James are handling this with the utmost grace and delicacy, most likely because of the teen boys, whispers in the tabloids claim that the only reason she decided to divorce him is because she had had enough of his wandering eye and countless infidelities.

Presumably, since spring until now, she’d been hanging on to the hope that he might change and make an effort to make the relationship work. Sadly, that didn’t happen.

“She’s finally had it with his antics. Their marriage was over a long time ago. James is a very charismatic man, but he’s a flirt and has a wandering eye. They’ve been having trust issues. Jane went into this marriage wanting it to last forever. She is sad but resigned to the fact that it is over,” a source close to the actress reveals for the Daily Mail.
