It’s a boy! Though he always said he was happy with his gorgeous girls, British celebrity chef has just become the father of a healthy baby boy, whom he and wife Jools named Buddy.

Oliver himself announced the happy news on his Twitter, while also saying both the child and Jools are in perfect health.

“The perpetually youthful British chef and recent Emmy winner is now a father of four after he and wife Jools welcomed son Buddy to their previously all-girl fold earlier today in London,” E! Online informs.

“It’s a baby boy guys !!! im shock, were all very happy, mum was amazing and both are well and happy x4 kids!! what,” the celebrity chef tweeted.

“Mr Buddy Oliver..... full name to come from mum.... big love joxx,” Jamie further said of the baby’s name. A photo is also included with the announcement.

What he means by “full name” is that Buddy too will probably get some exotic / out of the ordinary name like his older sisters, who are called Poppy Honey Rosie, Daisy Boo Pamela, and Petal Blossom Rainbow.

All in all, this has been a wonderful year for the chef who, aside from the achievements in his personal life, is also enjoying a lot of success with his television career.

At this year’s Emmy Awards, Jamie was awarded an Emmy for Outstanding Reality Program for the first season of “Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution.”

After the ceremony, the chef made a video of the new uses he’d found for his Emmy award, most of which, not surprisingly, were limited to the kitchen, as we also informed you a short while back.

“I’ve got this beautiful new kitchen gadget, it’s brilliant! I’ve got a double bladed knife, a balloon whisk here, I’ve even got a garlic crusher and it works brilliantly, I’ve got a bottle opener here, it’s everything I’ve ever ever dreamed of,” Jamie said of the Emmy.

All jokes aside, the chef also took the time to thank those who helped him get the award in the first place, including staff, producers and Ryan Seacrest.

“In all seriousness, this is a beautiful pat on the back for me, and I’d like to thank all of the crew, we had the most astounding crew, both English and American that absolutely lived The Food Revolution and contributed over and above what they were asked to do, they were incredible,” Jamie said in the same video.
