Their romance held the headlines more than they, or us, would have wanted. First, there was an out-of-wedlock pregnancy at only 16, then there was talk of cheating and bitter fights. In the end, it seems that Jamie Lynn Spears and Casey Aldridge have managed to work out all issues and go on with their lives, as the US tabloids are saying they’re preparing for a big wedding.

Details on the ceremony have not yet gone to the press – as neither has a confirmation that the two have, indeed, plans of becoming husband and wife – but according to In Touch Weekly, that is truly the case in the Spears household. Sources well placed in Jamie Lynn’s entourage claim that the once-blooming star has already ordered the invitations, and decided on the dress and the cake.

The tab reports that Jamie Lynn opted for a Monique Lhuillier gown of yet undetermined color, while the cake will be a three-tiered chocolate creation. Nevertheless, the lack of a confirmation from either Jamie Lynn or her mother, who has a rather “solid” reputation of always going to the media whenever something newsworthy comes up in either of her daughters’ life, puts a huge question mark over the alleged wedding plans.  

Jamie Lynn, once hailed as a rising star with potential of becoming more than just Britney Spears’ younger sister, attracted lots of media attention when she, accompanied by her mother, went to OK! magazine to confirm that she was pregnant with her then boyfriend, and presumably future husband, Casey Aldridge. The “confession” reportedly got Jamie Lynn $1 million in her bank account, but also most of the media on her back for getting pregnant at 16, when she should have been in school - technically.

Since the grand announcement, the young couple kept a low profile, the only exception being when their names popped up in the media when one of Casey’s former girlfriends stepped in to claim he was cheating on Jamie Lynn with her when the former was still pregnant.
