Jamie Foxx Jealous of Gerard Butler’s Good Looks

When two such big stars like Gerard Butler and Jamie Foxx are on the same set together working on a project, rumors are bound to emerge about a feud, whether they’re based on real facts or not. On this note, Star magazine (the print edition) is saying that Foxx is jealous of how much attention Butler gets from the ladies, which has brought their relationship – both personal and professional – to a tensed standstill.

The two actors, both renown for their work, but also for their good looks and, consequently, their impressive female fanbase, are now working on “Law Abiding Citizen,” a movie about a man’s journey to justice and vengeance for the murder of his wife and daughter. Everything went well until a certain point, when the amount of attention that Gerard was getting from the ladies on set started bothering Foxx – and, reportedly, in very teenage-like manner, the two have come up with offensive nicknames for one another.

“Hollywood catfights aren’t just between the ladies! Jamie Foxx and Gerard Butler have been going at it on the set of ‘Law Abiding Citizen.’ An insider tells Star, ‘Jamie is jealous of the female attention Gerard gets. And Gerard is annoyed that Jamie’s always jetting off to Vegas to party.’ The Dueling duo even have pet names for each other: Gerard calls Jamie ‘The Fool,’ and he’s known as ‘Ger-tard!’ ‘It’s like high school on this set!’ says the source. Boys will be boys!” Star magazine writes in the latest issue.

As usual, Star fails to make public the identity of the source, which should be a clear indication for all fans that they’re to take the story with a grain of salt, other glossy magazines and celebrity blogs are pointing out. For starters, there are many arguments that could rubbish the rumor, the first being that Jamie Foxx is known as a genuine ladies’ man as well, so Gerard could actually have some competition in this sense.

Another, more solid argument, would be that Butler himself denied that he was in any way a womanizer, saying that his reputation as a modern, blue-eyed Casanova was mostly due to the way the media spun every little thing that he did into something else. “Guys take a photograph of me speaking to someone and, apparently, I am having an affair with her.” the actor was telling the media a while back. This way, the actor added, “I’m having 10 affairs a day. It would be just too exhausting and I’m not that sort of guy,” he joked.
