At the launch of his new film, "Stealth", Oscar-winning actor Jamie Foxx defended his co-star from "Collateral", Tom Cruise, from the bad publicity he had in the past months.

"Tom Cruise is like the Michael Jordan of acting," said Foxx. "He looks like he has everything - and he does. He has never had a fall. So people are looking for him to trip and fall."

Referring to the water stunt played on Tom Cruise recently, Jamie said: "If someone had squirted water in my face, I would have whooped their ass. I'd have been off to jail."

Jamie Foxx is currently filming the big screen adaptation of 1980 TV serial Miami Vice with Colin Farrell. Referring to his colleague, Foxx declared that "Colin Farrell is the perfect guy for the tabloids. He just looks like the paparazzi are going to be outside the door.

"But he is in a movie now that can really change him from being just that guy in the tabloids. He can really make his mark."
